Telecom service provider Vodafone Idea has increased the monthly rentals of its REDX postpaid plan from Rs 999 to Rs 1099. Vodafone REDX postpaid plan has got an effective hike of Rs 100. The change happened yesterday with the listings on the Vodafone website getting an update along with a v2.0 of its REDX T&C.
Interestingly, the price revision comes at a time when Vodafone Idea is at a juncture of migrating Idea Nirvana customers across 19 telecom circles into Vodafone RED postpaid. Idea Nirvana customers in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Kolkata, West Bengal, Assam & North East, UP West, and UP East will be shortly moved into Vodafone RED. The migration has been affected due to the coronavirus.
With Idea Nirvana customers set to migrate into Vodafone RED postpaid, Vodafone has differentiated the pricing of its RED Together L and REDX plan. Earlier, both of them were priced at Rs 999.
Vodafone’s limited edition REDX postpaid plan offers its postpaid customers access to the airport lounge, Netflix, Amazon Prime, unlimited data, calls, & and an IR pack. The plan is not for commercial or non-retail use.

Vodafone REDX offers unlimited data, 100 SMS, 1-year subscription to Netflix, 7 days iRoam pack, access to International and Domestic airport lounges 4 times a year, ISD calls to USA, Canada, and the UK among 14 countries at special rates. REDX users also get unlimited local, STD calls from anywhere in India.
REDX users also get 1 year Amazon Prime subscription, 1 year Zee5 subscription, Vodafone Play subscription, priority 4G network with faster data speeds, special deals on Samsung devices with complimentary mobile insurance, premium customer service, and discounts on bookings through Tiqets and Hotels.com.
Given the benefits on the plan, it comes in a with exit clause of Rs 3000 for the first 6 months. In case you wish to change to another plan or port out of Vodafone or disconnect your number or migrate to a prepaid plan within 6 months of activating REDX, you have to shell out a one-time exit fee of Rs 3000. Other, Vodafone RED postpaid plans, for now, remains untouched.
