Telecom equipment’s manufacturer HFCL Limited is set to ramp up the FTTH cable manufacturing capacity even further in the next few quarters. The company claims to have to become the largest FTTH cable manufacturer in the country after the launch of its latest FTTH facility in Hyderabad which will be further expended, the company said in a release yesterday.
HFCL is focused on expanding its product portfolio and increase exports of its “Made in India” offerings with HFCL seeing India as the next innovation and manufacturing hub for telecom products. HFCL is geared up to serve the next generation communication needs of customers in India and abroad with the implementation of 5G on the horizon.
“Our outlook is very optimistic given the demand we are seeing for optical fiber cables and FTTH, not just in India but also from exports. Transformational projects like PM-WANI when viewed in conjunction with BharatNet, and add to that, the upcoming SG rollout, all this will significantly boost the Company’s prospects,” added Mahendra Nahta, MD, HFCL.
HFCL’s PAT in Q3 FY 21 shot up from Rs 53.32 crores in the previous quarter to Rs 85.11 crores with PBT of Rs 218.62 crores and EBIDTA of Rs 397.94 crores.
The company recently completed 1 lakh units of shipment of wireless network portfolio comprising of Wi-Fi Access Points and Point to Point Unlicensed Band Radio to its customers.
