Samsung Galaxy M33 5G with 6.6-inch 120Hz display, 6000 mAh battery launched in India

Samsung has launched the Galaxy M33 5G smartphone in India on Saturday. The phone features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ display, quad rear cameras, octa-core processor, 5G connectivity, up to 8GB of RAM, and runs Android 12 OS out of the box with One UI 4.1 customization on top. Samsung Galaxy M33 5G also comes with Samsung Knox security, a RAM Plus feature that virtually increases the RAM by up to 16GB using internal storage, and a voice focus feature that reduces the ambient noise and amplifies the receiver’s voice.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2408 pixel) Infinity-V display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone is powered by an octa-core (2.4 GHz & 2.0 GHz) Exynos 1280 (5 nm) chipset paired with Mali-G68 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G sports a quad rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth version 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, 5G SA / NSA, 4G VoLTE, NFC, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging and OTG. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, magnetometer, gyroscope, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Samsung Galaxy M33 5G comes with a non-removable 6000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging technology.

Lastly, the phone measures 165.4 x 76.9 x 9.4 mm and weighs 215 grams.

Pricing and availability

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is priced at Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 20,499. Samsung is offering the phone at an introductory price of Rs. 17,999 for the base variant and the top variant for Rs. 19,999.

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G comes in Blue and Green color options. It will be available to purchase via the Amazon India website and Samsung e-store in India starting April 8, 2022.
