Redmi Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro, Note 13 Pro+ With 6.67-inch display, 5G connectivity launched in India

The Redmi Note 13 series will be available to purchase from January 10, 2024, via Flipkart, Mi e-store, and retail stores in India.

Redmi has launched the Note 13 5G, Note 13 Pro, and Note 13 Pro+ smartphones in India. The Redmi Note 13 series features a 6.67-inch display along with a 16-megapixel front-facing sensor and 5G connectivity. The smartphones run Android 13 operating system out of the box with MIUI 14 customization on top. The company said to offer three major Android upgrades.

Redmi Note 13 5G specifications

The Redmi Note 13 5G features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 10-bit color depth, up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 (6nm) chipset paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 of onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card for expandable storage but uses a shared SIM slot.

For optics, the Redmi Note 13 5G comes with a dual-rear camera setup of a 100-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing sensor housed in a hole-punch display. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, dual 4G VoLTE, 5G SA/NSA, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, proximity, magnetometer, infrared (IR) blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 161.11mm × 74.95mm × 7.6mm and weighs 173.5 grams.

Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+ specifications

The Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+ feature a 6.67-inch (2712 x 1220 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, up to 1800 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The Pro model has a flat display, while the Pro+ variant includes a curved display. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (4nm) chipset paired with Adreno 710 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. In contrast, the Note 13 Pro+ is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra (4nm) chipset paired with Mali-G610 MC4 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage.

In terms of optics, Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+ sports a triple-rear camera setup of a 200-megapixel Samsung HP3 primary sensor with OIS support, an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Both smartphones come with a 16-megapixel sensor on the front. The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G packs a 5100mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, whereas the Note 13 Pro+ has a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, dual 4G VoLTE, 5G SA/NSA, a 3.5mm headphone jack (Pro only), and a USB Type-C port. Pricing and availability

The Redmi Note 13 5G costs Rs. 17,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, and Rs. 21,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It comes in Arctic White, Stealth Black, and Prism Gold color options.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro is priced at Rs. 25,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, Rs. 27,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, and Rs. 29,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It comes in Arctic White, Coral Purple, and Midnight Black color options.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ costs Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, Rs. 33,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, and Rs. 35,999 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. It comes in Fusion White, Fusion Purple, and Fusion Black color options.

The Redmi Note 13 series smartphones will go on sale starting January 10, 2024, via Flipkart, Mi e-store, and retail stores in India. Launch offers include a Rs. 1000 exchange bonus or bank discount with ICICI cards on the Redmi Note 13 5G smartphone. For Redmi Note 13 Pro or Note 13 Pro+ smartphone, the company is offering a Rs. 2000 exchange bonus or bank discount.

Xiaomi has announced that Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will feature a curved OLED display with incredibly thin bezels measuring just 2.37mm. That is quite thin for a midrange device. Xiaomi has also revealed the 1.5K resolution and 1800 nit maximum brightness. 1.5K is not sharp as the QHD displays we see in flagship devices but it’s definitely sharper than a FHD display. The display also has 1920 Hz PWM dimming. Xiaomi also emphasized that the phone’s display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, making the Note 13 Pro+ 1.5 times more resistant to drops and 2 times more resistant to scratches than its predecessor, as per Xiaomi claims...
