OnePlus set to announce OnePlus 8 series on April 14

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is set to announce the OnePlus 8 series smartphone on April 14, 2020, via an online event.

According to the leaks, The OnePlus 8 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. On the other hand, The OnePlus 8 will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. OnePlus 8 Pro is likely to come with IP68 dust and water-resistant rating.

Both devices are expected to have Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on the front, and Gorilla Glass 5 on the back with aluminum frame body. OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The devices will run OxygenOS 10.0, based on Android 10, out of the box.

OnePlus 8 Pro will have a quad-rear camera setup of 48 MP f/1.8 primary camera, 8 MP f/2.4 telephoto, 48 MP f/2.2 ultrawide, and 5 MP depth sensor. For selfies, it will have a 16 MP camera on the punch-hole display. The phone is expected to come with a non-removable 4510mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging, 30W fast wireless charging, and 30W reverse wireless charging technology.

Leak suggests, OnePlus 8 will have a 48 MP primary camera, 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro camera. For selfies, it will have a 16 MP camera on the punch-hole display. The phone is expected to come with a non-removable 4300mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging technology.
