BSNL rationalizes STV 395 and withdraws SMS STVs 12 and 21

State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is all set to rationalize its Special Tariff Voucher (STV) 395 effective today under GSM prepaid mobile services along with the discontinuation of SMS STVs 12 and 21 effective tomorrow under GSM prepaid mobile services.

BSNL Chennai in separate circulars yesterday notified the rationalization of STV 395 and the withdrawal of SMS STVs in Chennai Telephones and Tamil Nadu circle.

BSNL is revising combo STV 395 which will revise the calling and data benefits while leaving the validity unchanged. BSNL’s STV 395 will now offer 3000 minutes of on-net voice Local and STD and 1800 minutes of off-net voice Local and STD free. After the free minutes, calls will be charged at Rs 20 paise per minute. The plan will also offer unlimited data with speed reduced to 80 kbps after 2GB/day.

SMS STV 12 offered 130 free SMS with a validity of 7 days while SMS STV 21 offered 265 free SMS with a validity of 15 days. Today will be the last day for the prepaid plans on the shelves ahead of the withdrawal tomorrow.
