BSNL rationalizes PV1999 reducing data benefits to offer 2GB data per day

State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has once again rationalized its plan voucher 1999 for the second time in the last 30 days to reduce the data benefits being offered with the prepaid plan. The company today notified the amendment in PV1999 effective 1st February 2021.

According to a BSNL Chennai circular, the revised prepaid plan will now offer unlimited voice calling to any network in Home LSA and national roaming including MTNL networks of Mumbai and Delhi, 100 SMS per day including MTNL area of Mumbai and Delhi, free PRBT with unlimited song change, 365 days of EROS Now entertainment service, 60 days of Lokdhun content and unlimited 2GB data per day followed by 80 Kbps post FUP speed.

The initial data benefits were unlimited 3GB data per day followed by 80 Kbps post FUP speed which has been reduced to 2GB data per day. The company has also withdrawn the multiple recharge facility for PV1999 effective 1st February 2021.

BSNL had earlier this month offered 21 days extra validity on PV1999 on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day and Pongal festival starting 10th January 2021 till 30th January 2021. Separately. last month BSNL revised its Rs 1999 prepaid plan to offer increased freebie validity on access to Eros Now content effective 1st January 2021.
