BSNL Chennai revises prepaid international roaming tariffs in network of 40 countries

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Chennai Telephones has revised the prepaid international roaming tariffs in the network of 40 countries. The tariffs are effective from January 1, 2020, to March 31, 2020, and is applicable to the BSNL prepaid subscribers of the Chennai circle.

BSNL has revised the international tariff in the network of Etisalat- UAE, TMobile- USA, Zain- Saudi Arabia, Etisalat- Saudi Arabia, Vodafone- Ukraine, Chunghwa- Taiwan, Mobitel- Srilanka, HKT- Hongkong, Ooredoo- Qatar, Omantel- Oman, NCel – Nepal, Ooredoo- Myanmar, NTTDocomo-Japan, Grameenphone-Bangladesh, TIM- Brazil, Trimob- Urkaine, MPT- Myanmar, Bell Mobility- Canada, DU- UAE, Orange- Egypt, Zain- Kuwait, DIALOG AXIATA- SriLanka, DNA- Finland, Progresif- Brunei, Velcom- Belarus, VimpelCom- Russia, Claro- Puerto Rico, Indosat- Indonesia, M1- Singapore, Viva- Baharain, Etisalat- Afghanistan, DIGI- Malaysia, StarHub- Singapore, Swisscom- Switzerland, Telnet- Belgium, Nova- Iceland, Turkcell- Turkey, P4- Poland, MTML- Mauritius, and Viettel- Vietnam. The revised international tariff rates are available on the BSNL Chennai website.

BSNL subscribers are required to recharge with STV 57. Users can activate STV 57 via C-Top up or via SMS by sending SMS as STV IR57 to 123. Subscribers with active STV57 can avail of the international roaming facility. Customers are also required to replace the normal SIM card with the Prepaid Dual IMSI Seamless Roaming SIM. BSNL recommends turning off mobile data whenever not necessary to avoid background data usage.

Earlier this month, BSNL Chennai has launched five new prepaid international roaming facilities in the network of HI3G- Denmark, Dhiraagu- Maldives, MTEL-Montenegro, MAXIS- Malaysia, and Hutchison- Macau. These prepaid international roaming facilities can be availed by the prepaid BSNL subscribers of the Chennai circle.
