Bharti Airtel’s entertainment app Airtel Xstream has yesterday opened up its floor for everyone with even non-Airtel users now eligible to get access to Airtel’s on-demand content by purchasing the subscription. The company has opened up its gates for everyone finally in what it describes as a special update on the change log in Play Store.
Unlike earlier wherein the app was only restricted to Airtel users initially who had to subscribe to an eligible mobility, DTH, postpaid or broadband plan or pay up the annual subscription now even non-Airtel users can watch the content of the app.
The subscription plans for Airtel Xstream are the same as earlier wherein potential customers need to get the Rs 499 Airtel Xstream Premium annual pack to get access to Airtel Xstream on all devices. Airtel Xstream also recently got support for the Chromecast feature, Android TV, and Fire TV Stick although the same comes with restrictions with users needing the annual subscription pack.
The company has also revamped its payment experience and added various new payment mode support like UPI, Paytm, and other wallets like Google Pay and PhonePe. One can also pay through Debit/Credit Card, or Net Banking options.
The app now also allows one to set reminders of upcoming shows up to 7 days in advance so that you can never miss a single minute. Airtel Xstream has also got ‘Airtel Xstream Channels‘ on the platform that will see divo and ShortsTV arrive as the first two channels on the newly introduced property. Separately, one can now upgrade from Airtel Xstream Basic to Airtel Xstream Premium by paying Rs 49 per month.Â
