Bharti Airtel offers access to various OTT apps to its broadband customers at no additional cost through the Airtel Xstream Premium app. Now, the company is introducing a new Xstream Play Standard plan that will replace the Xstream Premium for some Airtel broadband customers from April 15, 2023.

Airtel Xstream Play Standard will offer access to only 11 OTT platforms, including Eros Now, Lionsgate Play, Shemaroo Me, Hoichoi, Manorama Max, Ultra, Hungama, Epicon, Chaupal, Raj Digital TV, and NammaFlix. For the unaware, the Airtel Xstream Premium offers access to over 15 OTT apps, including SonyLiv, Docubay, Divo, and Dollywood Play.

The change will affect Airtel Xstream Fiber customers subscribed to the Rs. 499 and Rs. 799 (non-Black) plans. These users will be downgraded from Xstream Play Premium to Xstream Play Standard. However, this will not apply to users who claimed the Airtel Xstream Premium through the Airtel Thanks app before April 15. These customers can enjoy one year of Xstream Play Premium subscription, and then they can claim Xstream Play Standard on the app.

For prepaid broadband customers who claimed access from the Airtel Thanks app before April 15, their subscription will remain active till the end of their recharge validity falling after April 15. After that, they will become eligible for Xstream Play Standard. From April 15 onwards, users can only claim Xstream Play Standard from the Airtel Thanks app.

Airtel Xstream Fiber is one of the leading broadband services in India that provides high-speed internet, unlimited data, and access to various OTT platforms through Airtel Xstream. With the launch of the Xstream Play Standard plan, some customers will lose access to some OTT platforms, but they can still enjoy many others at no extra cost.

Few months ago it included 8 OTT platforms, recently they added 4 more to make it 12 and soon they are adding 3 more to make it 15, Shorts TV, Docubay and Hungama are yet to be added to the pack.

now they removed sonyliv and lionsgate play from FTS

I don't use Fire TV but plan to check out the Android TV app once my existing Sony LIV subscription ends in 4 months, I guess it should work on the Android TV app.
