Vivo X50, X50 Pro smartphones and TWS Neo earbuds launched in India

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Vivo has launched the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro smartphones in India. The company has also launched the Vivo TWS Neo true wireless earbuds in the country. The Vivo X50 comes in Frost Blue and Glaze Black color options, while the Vivo X50 Pro comes in Alpha Grey color. The TWS Neo earbuds will be available in Moonlight White and Starry Blue color options.

Vivo X50 specifications

The Vivo X50 smartphone features a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2376 pixels) AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G (7 nm) chipset paired with Adreno 620 GPU, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage. The phone runs Android 10 OS out of the box with Funtouch 10.5 customization on top.

Vivo X50 sports a quad rear camera setup of 48 MP f/1.6 Sony IMX598 primary sensor with OIS, 8 MP f/2.2 120-degree ultrawide angle lens, 5 MP f/2.5 macro, and 13 MP f/2.5 portrait camera with 2x optical zoom. On the front, it has a 32 MP f/2.5 camera on the punch-hole display. The phone comes with a non-removable 4200mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. Sensors included are proximity, compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and an under-display optical fingerprint reader.

Vivo TWS Neo True wireless earbuds specifications

The Vivo TWS Neo earbuds come with a large 14.2mm dynamic drivers and use Bluetooth 5.2 technology for connectivity. The earbuds support Qualcomm aptX Bluetooth codec and Vivo DeepX stereo sound effects. The earbuds can deliver up to 4.5 hours of playback time with AAC standard quality and up to 22.5 hours of playback time with the charging case. The earbuds also come with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Vivo TWS Neo earbuds are compatible with Google Assistant and feature touch controls such as press and hold to reject or hang up a call and slide to volume control. Users can also customize touch controls. The earbuds weigh only 4.7 grams, and the weight, including the charging case is 45.7 grams.

Pricing and availability

The Vivo X50 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 34,990, while the 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 37,990. The Vivo X50 Pro costs Rs. 49,990 for the single 256GB storage variant. Both smartphones are available for pre-order via online and offline retailers in India, including Chroma, Reliance Digital, Amazon, and Flipkart. Both devices will go on sale starting July 24, 2020.

The Vivo TWS Neo True wireless earbuds are priced at Rs. 5,990. Vivo is yet to announce the availability details of the earbuds in India.
