Vivo 29e

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched the Vivo 29e smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, 5000mAh battery, 5G connectivity, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The Vivo 29e runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box with Funtouch OS 13 customization on top.

Vivo 29e specifications

The Vivo 29e features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (2400 × 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and 1300 nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 (8nm) chipset paired with Adreno 619L GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card for expandable storage but uses a hybrid slot.

In terms of optics, the Vivo 29e sports a dual rear camera setup of a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture and an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 50-megapixel sensor on the front with f/2.45 aperture lens. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, and a USN Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, magnetometer, ambient light, proximity, and an in-display optical fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 164.42mm × 74.92mm × 7.57mm and weighs 180.5 grams.

Pricing and availability

The Vivo 29e is priced at Rs. 26,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs Rs. 28,999. The phone comes in Artistic Blue and Artistic Red color options and is currently available for pre-order in the country via the Vivo e-store and Flipkart. Vivo 29e will go on sale from September 7, 2023, through Vivo e-store, Flipkart, and leading retail stores in India. Launch offers include a Rs. 2,500 instant discounts with HDFC Bank and SBI cards and an additional exchange bonus of Rs. 2,000.
