Tecno Pova 5, Tecno Pova 5 Pro launched in India

Tecno has launched the Tecno Pova 5 and Tecno Pova 5 Pro smartphones in India. Both models feature a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Furthermore, they run on the Android 13 operating system out of the box with HiOS 13 customization on top.

Tecno Pova 5 series specifications

The Tecno Pova 5 series features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (2460×1080 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The Tecno Pova 5 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 (6nm) chipset paired with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage. In contrast, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro comes with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 (6nm) chipset paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Both models support a microSD card for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Tecno Pova 5 series sports a dual-rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary AI camera with an LED Flash. Tecno Pova 5 is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie camera, while the Tecno Pova 5 Pro has a 16-megapixel front-facing sensor. Further, the Tecno Pova 5 packs a 6000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging technology, while the Tecno Pova 5 Pro packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, dual 4G VoLTE, 5G SA/NSA (Tecno Pova 5 Pro model only), a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Both models also include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Pricing and availability

The Tecno Pova 5 price starts at Rs. 11,999 and comes in Amber Gold, Mecha Black, and Hurricane Blue color options, while the Tecno Pova 5 Pro price starts at Rs. 14,999 and comes in Silver Fantasy and Dark Illusion color options. Both models will be available from the Amazon India website starting August 22, 2023.
