Samsung has launched its most affordable smartphone, the Galaxy M01 Core, in India. The phone comes with an Intelligent Inputs – Smart Paste and Suggest Notification feature. Smart Paste extracts texts from the message automatically and allows users to paste relevant text like website URL on browser or mobile number on the phone dialer app. Suggest Notifications warns users about low battery and lets them open their running app or add other critical apps in Maximum Power Saving Mode (MPSM) for extended run time.
Another feature includes Intelligent Photos that detect similar or duplicate images and suggest users to keep the best photo while discarding other images to free up space. The phone also comes with dynamic screen timeout for power optimization.
Samsung Galaxy M01 Core specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M01 Core features a 5.3-inch HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels) PLS TFT display. The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek 6739 (28 nm) chipset paired with up to 2GB RAM and up to 32 GB of internal storage. The device also supports MicroSD card of up to 512GB.
Samsung Galaxy M01 Core comes with a single rear camera setup of 8 MP f/2.2 that supports autofocus, 4X digital zoom, and Full-HD video recording at 30fps. For taking selfies, the phone has a 5 MP f/2.4 camera. The device is fueled by a non-removable 3000mAh battery that can deliver up to 14 hours of internet usage time or up to 11 hours of video playback time.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS/ Glonass, and a micro USB 2.0 port. Sensors included are proximity and accelerometer. Galaxy M01 Core runs customized Android 10 Go edition OS out of the box. Lastly, the phone measures 141.7 x 67.5 x 8.6 mm and weighs 150 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Samsung Galaxy M01 Core is priced at Rs. 5,499 for the 1GB RAM and 16GB storage variant while the 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 6,499. The phone comes in Black, Blue, and Red color options and will go on sale starting July 29, 2020. It will be available across Samsung retail stores, Samsung Opera House, Samsung India e-store, and all leading online stores in India.
