Samsung, on Thursday, launched Galaxy Buds Pro true wireless earphones at its online Galaxy Unpacked event. The earphones feature 360 Audio, active noise cancellation, Qi-certified wireless charging, and comes with an IPX7 rating for water and dust resistance.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro specifications

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro features a two-way driver system, which includes an 11mm woofer for bass and a 6.5mm tweeter for treble. The earbuds come with two outer and one inner microphone, along with a voice pickup unit. For connectivity, it uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology and supports AAC, SBC, and Samsung’s proprietary Scalable codecs. Sensors include proximity, hall, touch, accelerometer, and a gyroscope. Buds Pro comes with a new Auto Switch feature, which allows the user to maintain a simultaneous connection with two Galaxy devices, and switch between them instantly.

Galaxy Buds Pro comes with a 61mAh battery that can deliver up to 8 hours of playback time with active noise cancellation (ANC) disabled and up to 5 hours with ANC enabled. The charging case carries a 472mAh battery, which increases the total playback time by up to 28 hours with active noise cancellation off and up to 18 hours with ANC enabled. Further, 5 minutes of quick charge can provide up to an hour of playback time. For charging, it supports USB Type-C fast charging and Qi-certified wireless charging for the case.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro offers 360 Audio with Dolby Head Tracking technology, which tracks the user’s head movements for 3D-spatial sound. 360 Audio works only with Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets with Android 11 OS and above. Users can also customize the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro features, such as equalizer, enable or disable ANC, and more, by using the Galaxy Wearable app. Lastly, the earbuds measure 19.5 x 20.5 x 20.8 mm and weigh 6.3 grams, while the charging case measures 50 x 50.2 x 27.8 mm and weighs 44.9 grams.

Pricing and availability

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is priced at Rs. 15,990 and comes in Phantom Violet, Phantom Black, and Phantom Silver color options. The earbuds are available for pre-order via Samsung exclusive stores, retail stores, Samsung India e-store, and leading online portals in India. Customers who pre-order the Galaxy buds will be eligible to receive Samsung wireless power bank U1200 worth Rs. 3699 at Rs. 499. Pre-booked customers will start receiving deliveries on January 29, 2021.
