Samsung Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73 with quad rear cameras launched

Samsung Galaxy A33 price starts at EUR 369 (around Rs. 31,000), while the Galaxy A53 price starts at EUR 449 (around Rs. 37,800). Samsung is yet to announce the pricing of the Galaxy A73.

South Korean tech giant, Samsung, has launched the Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73 smartphones at the Galaxy A event on Thursday. The phones feature quad rear cameras, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, 5000 mAh battery, and runs Android 12 out of the box with One UI 4.1 customization on top. They also come with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The phones will receive four years of Android upgrades and five years of security updates.

Samsung Galaxy A33 specifications

Samsung Galaxy A33 features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080 × 2400 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone is powered by an Exynos 1280 processor paired with Mali-G68 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage. It supports a microSD card for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy A33 sports a quad-rear camera setup of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth version 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, 4G VoLTE, 5G SA /NSA, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone comes with a 5000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging technology.

Lastly, the Galaxy A33 measures 159.7 × 74 × 8.1 mm and weighs 186 grams.

Samsung Galaxy A53 features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080 × 2400 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone is powered by an Exynos 1280 chipset paired with Mali-G68 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage. It supports a microSD card of up to 1TB for expandable storage.

The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with Adreno 642L GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB for expandable storage.

Samsung Galaxy A73 sports a quad-rear camera setup of a 108-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the phone comes with a 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth version 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, 4G VoLTE, 5G SA /NSA, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor. The phone packs a 5000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging technology. It measures 163.7 × 76.1 × 7.6 mm and weighs 181 grams.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A33 price starts at EUR 369 (around Rs. 31,000), while the Galaxy A53 price starts at EUR 449 (around Rs. 37,800). Both phones come in come in Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Peach, and Awesome Blue color options.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A73 comes in Gray, White, and Mint color options. Samsung is yet to announce the pricing of the Galaxy A73 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A53 will go on sale in select markets starting April 1, 2022, while the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A73 will be available from April 22, 2022. As of now, Samsung has not shared any details about its availability in the Indian market.

Maybe that will be an upgrade in A53s.

How does this 15W charger supports fast charging to 25W?
