Redmi 10 with Snapdragon 680 SoC, 6000 mAh battery launched in India

Redmi 10 price starts at Rs. 10,999. It will be available to purchase from March 24, 2022, via Mi.com, Mi Home, Flipkart.com, and select retail stores in India.

Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi, has launched the Redmi 10 smartphone in India on Thursday. The global variant of the Redmi 10 was debuted in August of last year and includes a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. However, the Indian variant of Redmi 10 is a different model and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset. The new Redmi 10 features a 6.7-inch HD+ display, 6000 mAh battery, dual rear cameras, and runs Android 11 OS out of the box with MIUI 13 customization on top.

Redmi 10 specifications

Redmi 10 features a 6.7-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 (6 nm) (4 x 2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold & 4 x 1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver) chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU, up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expandable storage.

Redmi 10 sports a dual-rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera on the front with an f/2.0 aperture. The phone includes a non-removable 6000 mAh lithium polymer battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth version 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, IR Blaster, 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging and OTG. Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light, proximity, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the phone measures 169.59 x 76.56 x 9.13 mm and weighs 203 grams.

Pricing and availability

Redmi 10 is priced at Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 12,999. The phone comes in Caribbean Green, Midnight Black, and Pacific Blue color options. It will be available for purchase from noon, March 24, 2022, via Mi.com, Mi Home, Flipkart.com, and select retail stores in India. Customers purchasing the Redmi 10 smartphone using HDFC Bank credit card or credit card EMIs will receive an instant discount of Rs. 1000.
