OnePlus 9RT launched in India with Snapdragon 888 SoC, 120Hz AMOLED Display

At the OnePlus winter edition launch event on Friday, the company launched its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 9RT, expanding its performance-oriented R-series. This is the first affordable premium flagship of 2022 from the brand. 

Specifications

The OnePlus 9RT features a 6.62-inch Full HD+ Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness, refresh rate of 120Hz and 100 per cent DCI:P3 colour gamut coverage. This display supports HDR10+ and offers both sRGB and DCI:P3 colour modes.

Under the hood, the device draws power from an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with Adreno 660 GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The handset runs Android 11-based Oxygen OS 11.3 out of the box.

For photography, there is a triple camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with OIS and EIS support, 16MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, it has a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The device is packed with a 4,500mAh battery which can be charged via a USB Type-C cable and supports 65W fast charging through the company’s Warp Charge 65T technology. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor, 4D intelligent Haptic motor, VC cooling system, alert slider, and Tri-eSport Wi-Fi Antennas with Adaptive Switch. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC.

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus 9RT will be sold in two storage options. The base variant having 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at Rs 42,999 while the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 46,999. It comes in two colour options – Hacker Black and Nano Silver.

The smartphone will be available to purchase first on Sunday, January 16th via the company’s official website at midnight. Buyers will get six months of Spotify premium subscription for free along with various discounts on OnePlus Band and OnePlus Bullet Wireless Z earbuds. Its regular sale is slated to begin from January 17th via Amazon with an additional card and bank discount of Rs 4,000.
