Lava has launched the Blaze 2 5G smartphone in India on Thursday. The phone features a 6.56-inch HD+ 2.5D Curved display, MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5000mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Lava Blaze 2 5G runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box.

The Lava Blaze 2 5G features a 6.56-inch HD+ (1600 × 720 pixels) punch-hole 2.5D Curved IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 (7 nm) chipset paired with Mali-G57 MP2 GPU, up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Lava Blaze 2 5G sports a dual rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary AI camera. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G (n1/ n3/ n5/ n8/ n28/ n41/ n77/ n78 SA/ NSA), dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging and OTG. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, magnetometer, ambient light, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 164.2mm x 76mm x 8.45mm and weighs 203 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Lava Blaze 2 5G is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 10,999. The phone comes in Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Lavender color options and will be available from the Amazon website, Lava e-store, and retail stores in the country starting November 9, 2023.
