Disney Television Studios revamped its divisions following the integration of 21st Century Fox assets after acquisition. The three divisions which include 20th Television, Touchstone Television and ABC Signature forms Disney Television Studios and lead by president Craig Hunegs.
Firstly, ABC Studios, the studio behind Marvel’s Daredevil, Scandal merged with its cable and streaming focused subsidiary ABC Signature Studios which produced hit shows like Godfather of Harlem and Little Fires Everywhere forming ABC Signature which will be lead by Jonnie Davis.
20th Century Fox Television, the studio behind The Simpsons, 24 renamed as 20th Television and will be lead by Carolyn Cassidy. Fox 21 Television Studios which produced American Crime Story and Mayans M.C. renamed as Touchstone Television, the legacy Disney brand which was retired in 2007 and will be lead by Bert Slake.
The new branding of the studios will be effective immediately and will be fully integrated into studios branding by end of 2020. Earlier this year Disney nixed Fox branding from 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight renaming them as 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures.
