Yes. It's upto 1080p. Our TV is also 1080p, so it doesn't really matter. But yes, Ads are really annoying.

Great. Let's see when Airtel and Tata Play launch their IPTV services then what data limit do they provide....right now airtel broadband provides unlimited data (3.3 TB) which is more that enough to surf internet and watch content on OTT Apps or IPTV

Linear TV is a declining market. Anyhow it will be a water downed version of TV. Why waste money on IPTV? Let's say you are watching Star Sports on Tata Play IPTV during IPL. You can't watch same as JioCinema has the streaming rights. OTT bundle is the way to go in the future. Same will be the case for most movies and sports channels.

In both segments important thing is that platforms / broadcasters have to come up with policies which r customer friendly + help expand their revenue.....even hybrid smart boxes or smart tv + regular stb combo customers will continue to increase as there r many individuals / families which enjoy watching content from both mediums

OTT based channels exist only because broadband providers are pulling DTH customers. Do you really think anyone will provide backup broadband plans for ₹198/month without any motives?

Most of the broadband users are not prefer linear tv/DTH after increasing channels/packs prices on yearly basis, even villagers are eager to taste the OTTs with Airfiber soon.

Exactly with the increasing rate and increasing advertisement in TV helped user to switch from dth to ott.
But One Thing I ve noticed so far that sony ent made Ramayana serial only for their TV customer not even for sony Liv or any ott service provide like jio tv plus. If its going to be normal then it would be win win situation for both.
I think in future all broadcaster will made some program exclusive to linear tv user and some to OTT subscriber. And rest of them will be common for both medium
