I'm Not sure about it's from Congress or Bjp or Dmk, Read that article how corrupt Reliance fools other telecom companies from their Dummy name company. Then or now also Government Favor of one company and pushing other companies to shutdown/merge and BSNL sidelined just for that telecom company.
Bsnl never was a serious player as they came late to 3G still not started 4G in many parts of the country and dont know when 5G will start in even metro better to privatise it

Nah, not same thing. You said Congress. It was Congress' alliance partner. If your business partner steals doesn't mean you be also referred to as a theif.

There was no foul play here. Mukesh Ambani couldn't enter telecom market for a certain period after Reliance was split.
Yea but Mukesh finally had to save Anil Ambani

So Now Netflix Recent movies acquisition makes sense in South, possibly Aha getting most of popular movies.

Allu Aravind shared, "We are happy with the run we've had in these three years. We know that aha came in and catered to a gap in the OTT space by offering 100% local content. Today three years since, we are successful in Telugu and we are growing fast in Tamil and I believe the time has come for us to grow further into more languages. I am happy to say that over the next three years, we have a solid plan of growth with expansion into new languages and genres; and to that end, we are committed to infusing Rs 1000 crores.”

“Today aha is synonymous with 100% local entertainment. We believe within our current markets we have a lot more to offer beyond the films and original series that we have come to be known for. We are committed to making aha a super app for our local audiences, and towards that over the next three years we will offer gaming, news, K-dramas, short form, interactive content, and a host of other features on our platform. In addition, we have also started working on our plans to launch in Malayalam and Kannada.”

Netflix don't need to worry about aha... If aha buys any big films it will share mostly with netflix....
And this 1000cr investment is going to be waste aha is like another tv channel... Only good thing in aha is unstoppable....
Other than that...nothing, remake movies, waste original movies and shows with no production values...
And again daily soaps, cringe reality shows same as tv channel
Even with this 1k cr investment they will do the same thing....

For the period ending December 31, 2022, Lionsgate lost 200,000 Starz subscribers. Lionsgate CFO Jimmy Barge said the modest sequential decline was a result of a lighter slate of originals and Pay 1 titles. It ended the quarter with 37.2 million total global subscribers, including Starz Play Arabia. Excluding subscribers in seven international markets that Lionsgate plans to exit in March, the subscriber count was 28.7 million.

Lionsgate said it has 18.5 million OTT subscribers, reflecting 14% growth – including a 5% bump domestically and 33% growth internationally. Lionsgate counted 8.2 million U.S. linear subs and 1.6 million international, with around 12.4 million U.S. OTT subscribers and 13.7 million international, noted Macquarie Capital analyst Tim Nolan.

Shockingly, 2020 was the year when wired Internet users increased. What led to a sudden fall?
Cause till 2019, Hotstar used to stream the IPL matches for free if you had a Jio Sim. The ICC WC Semis, India v NZ had more concurrency than this, it's clocked more than 25 million.

In 2020, Disney decided that more subscribers are needed than the concurrency.. That's the reason simply.
