The eBay App 2.0 Update Is Back On The Play Store After Being Pulled
When eBay updated its Android app to v2.0 about two weeks ago, many users were experiencing serious issues with the new version. eBay quickly pulled the update, and went back to the drawing board. Now the new version has returned. And yes, they kept the absolutely terrible asphalt background in the eBay Motors section.
Here's the changelog, which contains all of the improvements of the original 2.0 update:
Find cars, trucks, motorcycles as well as compatible parts and accessories with the mobile-optimized eBay Motors experience (US only, more countries coming soon)
Improved My eBay list access
Simplified navigation throughout the app
View bidding history on an item
Add up to 12 photos when listing an item with the app
Users in Italy and Spain can now list items with the app
Payment support for Malaysia and Singapore
The app seems to be working fine now, as well, so go ahead and update away.

Back in August, Halfbrick Studios brought their hit iOS game Jetpack Joyride over to the Android side. The problem was, though, you could only get it from the Amazon Appstore. That's not the case any longer, as the game has finally abandoned its exclusive period in the Appstore and is now available in the Play Store.
For those who may not have seen our previous coverage of the app or read Jeremiah's review (spoiler: he loved it), a little insight may be in order. For starters, there are only three words you need to know: Machine gun jetpack. If that's not enough, then here are two more: robot dragons. If you're not sold after hearing that, then I have no idea what it is you want from a mobile game.
In all seriousness, though, Jetpack Joyride is simple enough to pick up and play, but challenging enough to keep the game going. It's free in the Play Store, so hit the widget and check it out.

Popular iOS Runner Game 'Subway Surfers' Makes Its Way To Android
Yes, yes, it's another "runner" game. But this one's just so darned giddy it might actually be worth a look. Subway Surfers takes the Temple Run formula into an active train station, with plenty of pre-pubescent kids running around on skateboards and jetpacks. Uh... that sounded a lot better in my head. Kids, play this on your phone, not in real life.

Last week Rovio teased the announcement of a Star Wars-branded Angry Birds game and today they have officially taken off the wraps of the project. Angry Birds Star Wars is due to hit Google Play and the Amazon Appstore on November 8, featuring stages based on classic settings like Tatooine and the Death Star. As you can see, there will be plenty of familiar characters there as well. As hinted by the original invitation to check out Toys 'R Us, there will be a big merchandising push, but it won't kick off until October 28.
It's still early, so it's hard to say if the game will be significantly better or different from previous Angry Birds titles, but the Rovio CEO boasts that this will be "the best Angry Birds game we've ever done". Angry Birds Space added a nice spin on the classic gameplay, though it was still very much in line with what we've come to expect.
Needless to say, lots of people love Star Wars, and there's something to be said for piggie-shaped TIE fighters. Is the Angry Birds brand still fresh and lively to you, or does this kind of co-branding qualify as jumping the shark? It certainly feels like between the merchandising and the endless tide of off-shoot games, the brand is been worn out, but maybe that's just me.

We've been waiting on Wild Blood for a while now, and it's finally arrived. Gameloft's first game built on the Unreal engine tells the story of Sir Lancelot and his quest to defeat the evil Morgana and save Guinevere. Sounds fancy, huh? The retelling of the classic story even features an 8-person multiplayer mode. We'll leave you to make your own round table jokes.
The visuals look fantastic right off the bat. Or, sword as the case may be. We've seen some gameplay trailers before and if you've ever played World of Warcraft or Diablo, picking up this game should be pretty comfortable. So far, Gameloft promises 10 levels, facing down over 20 different kinds of enemies, including giant boss battles. As for the multiplayer mode, you can either play over the internet, or on a local WiFi connection with your friends.
The game costs $7 in the Play Store right now. Head to the Play Store to check out even more screenshots and then take a moment to appreciate just how far mobile gaming graphics have come in just a few short years.
