BSNL withdraws STV 1098 and STV 998 with immediate effect

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited last week withdrew two STVs effective 3rd April 2021 streamlining its prepaid offerings. BSNL has discontinued STV 1098 and STV 998, according to a BSNL Chennai tweet. The aforesaid STVs are no longer available for fresh subscription by BSNL customers.

STV 1098 offered unlimited data without speed restriction, unlimited voice calls in BSNL area including MTNL networks of Delhi and Mumbai, 100 SMS per day to any network, PRBT, and validity of 84 days.

STV 998 offered unlimited data with speed reduced to 80 Kbps after 2GB per day, PRBT for 2 months, and Lokhdun content available for the first 240 days. The prepaid plan offered validity of 240 days.

BSNL recently rationalized First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 108 to offer 28 days validity. BSNL is now also offering FRC 249 on a regular basis.The prepaid plan offers calling, data, and SMS benefits with 60 days validity.
