BSNL withdraws free SMS with vouchers less than Rs 147

State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has withdrawn free SMS from vouchers priced at less than Rs 147, effective 20th October 2022. The list of vouchers with no free SMS includes STV 87, FRC 108, and STV 139 (discounted voucher of MRP 187 for GP2).

STV-87 offered 100 SMS per day, unlimited voice, unlimited data with speed reduced to 40 kbps after 1GB/day, and bundling of Hardy Mobile Games service. The STV no longer offers any SMS benefits. FRC-108 offered 500 SMS, unlimited voice, and unlimited data with speed reduced to 80 kbps after 1GB/day. The FRC no longer offers any SMS benefits.

STV-139 (discounted voucher of MRP 187 for GP2) offered 100 SMS per day, unlimited voice, free PRBT, and unlimited data with speed reduced to 80 kbps after 2GB/day.

In other news, BSNL has introduced new STV 439 and PV 1198 as part of the Diwali Special offer with effect from 20th October 2022.
