State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has followed in the foot steps of Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea to launch a Work From Home prepaid plan for its customers. The introduction of the WFH plan however comes late at a point of time when the country is slowing moving towards gradual unlocking. The Work From Home Special Tariff Voucher (STV) will be available in Chennai Telephones (including Tamil Nadu circle) effective 6th July, 2020.

BSNL Chennai in a tweet earlier today highlighted the imminent introduction of the Work From Home plan. BSNL notes that the WFH plan is being introduced given that since the lockdown, work from home and study from home has been followed by many companies and schools all over India.

BSNL Work From Home STV 599 will offer unlimited free voice calling and national roaming including MTNL roaming area of Delhi and Mumbai with the FUP condition of 250 outgoing minutes in a day, unlimited data with speed reduced to 80 kbps after 5GB/day, and 100 free SMS/day to any net work including roaming in New Delhi and Mumbai.

The plan comes with a validity of 90 days and can be subscribed through CTOPUP, Webportal, and selfcare activation. The selfcare keyword for the plan is ‘STV COMBO599’.

At the time of filing this story, the plan is yet to reflect on BSNL website given the weekend. The same should reflect on BSNL website soon.

The development notably comes within days of BSNL reintroducing the Work at Home broadband plan, and 4% discount on BSNL recharges through MyBSNL app.
