State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new promotional offer on the occasion of 74th Independence Day which is around the corner. BSNL is offering extra validity on select plans and introduced a new special tariff voucher (STV) at Rs 147.
The promotional offer is being rolled out tomorrow and has been intimated by BSNL Chennai in a tweet on Thursday night.
Extra Validity on PV1999 and STV247
BSNL will be offering extra validity on Plan Voucher 1999 and STV 247 from 1st August to 31st August 2020. Plan Voucher 1999 will be offering an extra validity of 74 days which will increase the total validity of the plan to 439 days.
Similarly, STV 247 will be offering extra validity of 6 days i.e 20% which will increase the total validity of the plan to 36 days. The increased validity will be however be available on new plans subscribed during the promotional offer.
BSNL notes that content bundling of PV/STV will however be only valid till the original validity period only. So while you do get extra validity on the plan, you can’t enjoy EROS Now, Lokdhun content, and Free BSNL Tunes throught the tenure of the prepaid plan.
Introduction of new STV 147
BSNL is also introducing a new Special Tariff Voucher 147 with a validity of 30 days. The STV147 will offer unlimited free voice calling in home and national roaming including MTNL roaming area of Delhi and Mumbai. The FUP restriction of not more than 250 outgoing minutes is applicable.
On the data benefits front, STV 147 offers 10GB of high speed along with BSNL Tunes. The activation of this plan is only available through CTOPUP. web portal and self-care, however activating through self-care would not provide you with BSNL Tunes benefits. The charges for data usage will be as per plan tariff after exhaustion of free data.
