Asus Chromebook CM14 with MediaTek Kompanio 520 SoC launched in India

Asus has launched the Chromebook CM14 (CM1402C2MA) in India. The Chromebook features a 14-inch full-HD display, MediaTek Kompanio 520 SoC, 8GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 6, and up to 15 hours of battery life. Asus Chromebook CM14 runs on the Chrome OS out of the box.

Asus Chromebook CM14 specifications

The Asus Chromebook CM14 features a 14-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) anti-glare touch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 45 percent NTSC color gamut, and 220 nits of brightness. The laptop is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Kompanio 520 chipset paired with Arm Mali G52 MC2 2EE GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB eMMC 5.1 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card for expandable storage.

For making video calls, the Asus Chromebook CM14 is equipped with a 720p HD webcam along with a privacy shutter. Further, the laptop sports a spill-resistant ergonomic keyboard that offers 1.5mm of key travel. The laptop packs a 42Whr 2-cell Li-Ion battery that is claimed to deliver up to 15 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports with support for display and power delivery, a headphone and microphone combo jack, and one microSD card reader. Lastly, the laptop measures 324.6mm x 226.7mm x 18.3mm and weighs 1.45 kilograms.

Pricing and availability

The Asus Chromebook is priced at Rs. 26,990 for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The laptop comes in a Gravity Gray color option and is currently available to purchase via the Amazon website in the country.
