Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. (MSRDC) has taken a significant step towards bolstering public safety on the bustling Mumbai-Pune Expressway through an exclusive agreement with telecom operator Vi. The initiative aims to ensure seamless communication, connectivity, and prompt response in case of emergencies for commuters on one of the busiest highways in the state. Under the agreement, Vi will provide network support to every emergency calling booth placed every two kilometers along the expressway.

As part of the agreement, Vi will ensure network saliency round the clock at each emergency calling booth, guaranteeing anytime communication for commuters. To maintain uniformity and prevent network disruptions, the booths and police control rooms will be equipped with Vi SIM cards. MSRDC will oversee the management of equipment and address any queries or concerns from commuters. With this partnership, MSRDC and Vi are enhancing connectivity and reinforcing safety measures on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
