Xiaomi launches Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X 5G, and Redmi 10X 5G Pro in China

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has launched Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X 5G, and Redmi 10X 5G Pro in China. The Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X 5G pro come in Deep Ocean Blue, Twilight Purple, Lunar Gold, and Starlight White color options, while the Redmi 10X comes in White, Blue, and Green color options.

Both Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X 5G Pro features a 6.57-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and brightness up to 600 nits. Both devices are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 820 (7 nm) chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Both phones come with a dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

Redmi 10X 5G sports a triple rear camera setup of 48 MP f/1.8 primary camera, 8 MP f/2.2 119-degree ultrawide angle lens, and 2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The rear camera supports 4K recording at 30fps, Full-HD recording at 30/60fps, and HD recording at 960fps. On the front, it has 16 MP f/2.3 camera on the waterdrop notch display that supports Full-HD recording at 30fps.

Redmi 10X 5G Pro boasts a quad-rear camera setup of 48 MP f/1.8 primary camera, 8 MP telephoto that supports 3x optical zoom, 8 MP f/2.2 119-degree ultrawide angle lens, and 5 MP macro camera. The rear camera supports 4K recording at 30fps, Full-HD recording at 30/60fps, and HD recording at 960fps. For taking selfies, the phone has a 20 MP camera on the waterdrop notch that supports Full-HD recording at 30fps.

Both devices come with a non-removable 4520 mAh battery. The Redmi 10X 5G supports 22.5W fast charging technology, while the Redmi 10X 5G Pro supports 33W fast charging technology.

For connectivity features, both phones include dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, GPS, infrared port, 3.5mm audio port, and USB Type-C 1.0 port. Sensors included are proximity, compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and an optical fingerprint sensor located under the display.

Redmi 10X specification

Redmi 10X features a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) IPS display with brightness up to 450 nits. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) chipset paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also has a MicroSD card slot for expanding storage. The device runs MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box.

Redmi 10X comes with a quad-rear camera setup of 48 MP f/1.8 primary camera, 8 MP f/2.2 118-degree ultrawide angle lens, 2 MP f/2.4 macro, and 2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. For selfies, it has 13 MP f/2.3 camera on the punch-hole display. The phone is fueled by a non-removable 5020 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging technology.

Connectivity features included are dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, GPS, infrared port, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. Sensors included are proximity, compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and an optical fingerprint sensor located under the display.

Pricing and availability

The Redmi 10X 5G is priced at CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 16,900) for the 6GB Ram and 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,799 (around Rs. 19,100). The top variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 25,400).

The Redmi 10X 5G Pro is priced at CNY 2,299 (around Rs. 24,300) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,599 (around Rs. 27,600).

The Redmi 10X is priced at CNY 999 (around Rs. 10,500) for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,199 (around Rs. 12,700).

The Redmi 10X 5G will go on sale starting June 1, 2020, and the Redmi 10X 5G Pro will go on sale starting June 5, 2020. The Redmi 10X is already available for purchase in China.
