Xiaomi launches Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition in India

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi has launched Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition in India on Thursday. The Mi notebooks come with a Mi Blaze Unlock functionality that allows users to unlock the laptop without entering the password, by putting a Mi Band 3 or Mi Band 4 near the notebook. Xiaomi has also included Mi Quickshare that offers faster file sharing between the Xiaomi smartphone and Mi Notebook.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 specifications

Mi Notebook 14 features a 14-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The laptop is powered by a 10th Generation Intel Core i5 processor paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB SATA SSD. Only the top variant of Mi Notebook 14 comes with an Nvidia Geforce MX250 GPU, while the other variants have Intel UHD 620 graphics.

Because of the slim bezels on the top and sides of the display, the Mi Notebook 14 does not include a built-in webcam. However, Xiaomi has bundled Mi Webcam HD. Xiaomi claims that the built-in battery can deliver up to 10 hours of usage on a single charge. Mi Notebook 14 runs Windows 10 Home Edition with Office 365 trial out of the box.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition specifications

Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition features a 14-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) anti-glare IPS display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The base variant of Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition is powered by an Intel 10th Generation Core i5-10210U processor paired with Nvidia Geforce MX350 GPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and 512GB SATA SSD. The top variant is powered by an Intel 10th Generation Core i7-10510U processor paired with Nvidia Geforce MX350 GPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and 512GB PCI Express Gen3 NVMe SSD.

Similar to the Mi Notebook 14, the Horizon Edition also does not include a built-in webcam due to its slim bezels. However, Xiaomi has bundled a Mi Webcam HD. The laptop has a 46Wh battery that can deliver up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge and supports fast charging technology. The laptop runs Windows 10 Home Edition with Office 365 trial.

Connectivity options included are Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, two USB 3.1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and one USB Type-C port for charging the device and transferring data. Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition includes stereo speakers with DTS Audio processing technology.

Pricing and availability

The Mi Notebook 14 is priced at Rs. 41,999 for the 256GB SSD variant, while the 512GB SSD variant is priced at Rs. 44,999. The top variant of Mi Notebook 14 with Nvidia Geforce MX250 GPU is priced at Rs. 47,999. However, these are the introductory prices and are valid until July 16. After that, Xioami is likely to increases the prices of all Mi Notebook 14 models.

On the other hand, the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition is priced at Rs. 54,999 for the base variant with an Intel Core i5 processor, while the top variant with Intel Core i7 processor is priced at Rs. 59,999. The laptops will be available for purchase starting June 17, across Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home and Mi Studio. Xiaomi is also providing no-cost EMI up to 9 months and Rs. 2000 instant discount with HDFC bank debit or credit cards.
