Chinese giant Xiaomi has unveiled Redmi 9 as part of its latest smartphone offerings. Redmi 9 comes with an AI quad camera, and ships with a high capacity 5020 mAh battery. The smartphone is listed on Mi’s Global website and can be ordered in Spain currently.
Redmi 9 Specifications
Redmi 9 is powered by Mediatek Helio G80 processor which Redmi states is 82% faster than the previous generation. Redmi promises a 107% improved performance than Redmi 8.
On the display part, Redmi 9 comes with a 6.53″ Full HD + Display and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The devices is fitted with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The 2340*1080 full HD+ resolution comes with blue light certification to provide eye protection.
On the battery front, it has a 5020 mAh battery with Quick Charge TM 3.0 support and 18W fast charge. The smartphone comes packed with a 10 W charger and Type-C charging port and built-in rechargeable battery. Redmi promises 185 hours of Music playback, 31 hours of calling, 19 hours of continuous navigation, and 19 hours of video playback.
As for camera, it has a AI quad camera, 13MP+8MP+5MP+2MP quad camera with wide angle lens, depth sensor and macro lens. The camera supports palm shutter, HDR, portrait mode, and screen flash.
The phone has a fresh look with circular decoration and an anti-fingerprint texture back. Redmi 9 supports AI Face Unlock and has a rear fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone supports dual SIM cards, with micro SD card expansion. It also supports dual SIM VoLTE HD calling. It supports 2.4G WiFi and comes with Bluetooth 5.0. Redmi 9 comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom of the phone and supports USB Type C reversible connector. It supports GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, and Bediou for navigation and positioning.
On the sensor part, it has an IR remote, multifunctional NFC, noise cancelling microphone, distance sensor, ambient light sensor, vibration motor, electronic compass and others.
Redmi 9 Price
The smartphone is currently in available in Spain only in two different variants and three colors. It has a 3GB+32GB storage option and 4+64GB storage option. The smartphone comes in three colors, Carbon Grey, Sunset Purple, and Ocean Green.
The 3GB+32GB storage option is priced at EUR 149 whereas the 4GB+64GB storage option is priced at EUR 179.
