Search messages by date feature
WhatsApp is working on adding new functionality that will allow users to search messages by date. According to WABetaInfo, this feature is currently available in WhatsApp beta for iOS version 22.24.0.77 update on the TestFlight app for select beta users. If the calendar icon is present while using the search feature in a conversation, then the feature is enabled for the beta tester.
Users can use this feature to find messages from a specific date or view their first message in a conversation easily. The search for messages by date feature is expected to roll out to more users soon.
Android companion device
It is already possible to link an existing WhatsApp account on an iOS device with an Android device. However, Android devices were not recognized from the linked devices section on iOS. As per WABetaInfo, the company has released WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.24.0.76 update for beta testers with the updated list of possible associated devices that makes Android devices recognizable within the linked devices section on iOS.
