Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has launched the Vivo Y100 5G smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.38-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, 44W FlashCharge fast charging support, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Further, the phone runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box with Funtouch OS 13 customization on top.

The Vivo Y100 5G features a 6.38-inch full-HD+ (2400 ×1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 100-percent DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR 10+, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 1300 nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 (6nm) chipset paired with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card for expandable storage.
The Vivo Y100 5G sports a triple rear camera setup of a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens. The device is powered by a non-removable 4500mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging technology.
Connectivity option includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and OTG. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, magnetometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 158.91 × 73.53 × 7.73 mm and weighs 181 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Vivo Y100 5G is priced at Rs. 24,999 for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone comes in Twilight Gold, Metal Black, and Pacific Blue color options and is available to purchase via Amazon, Vivo e-store, and other retail stores in the country. Additionally, the Pacific Blue and Twilight Gold models come with a color changing Fluorite AG Glass design that changes color when exposed to sunlight and other artificial UV rays.
