Vi India has emerged as the fastest 4G network across India for the second consecutive quarter as per broadband testing and web-based network diagnostic application Ookla. Vi delivered the fastest 4G download and upload speeds compared to all other operators in October – December 2020 making it the only operator delivering fastest speed consistently over six months period on a pan-India basis per Ookla.
As per Vodafone Idea Limited, Vi GIGAnet has emerged as the fastest 4G network for average download speeds in 16 Indian states – GIGAnet from Vi has been verified as the fastest 4G network for average download speeds in 16 Indian states – Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Delhi, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, and Nagaland while topping the speed charts for average download speeds in 142 cities including Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Indore, Patna, Ranchi, Rajkot, Vadodara, Agra, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, as well as the metros of Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Kolkata, among others.
Vi in a press note stated that it improved its own performance when it was ranked for 120 cities in the previous trailing quarter. As per the earlier Ookla report, Vi India had a mean download speed of 13.74 Mbps and a mean upload speed of 6.19 Mbps.
