Tecno Spark 10 Pro with 6.78-inch 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, 5000mAh battery launched

Tecno has launched the Tecno Spark 10 Pro smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.78-inch 90Hz full-HD display, MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, 5000mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Further, it runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box. Tecno Spark 10 Pro comes with a Memory Fusion feature that uses free onboard storage as RAM to provide up to 8GB of additional virtual RAM.

Our latest SPARK 10 universe offering is designed for the discerning youth of India, for whom smartphones are their primary screen and they consume various kinds of content, including pictures, videos, and OTT streaming,” said Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of Tecno Mobile India. “For undertaking such tasks, consumers require a smartphone with higher RAM capacity. With the introduction of SPARK 10 Pro, we address the same gap in the sub-15K segment by providing 16GB RAM coupled with pleasing aesthetics and a great in-hand feel.”

Tecno Spark 10 Pro specifications

Tecno Spark 10 Pro features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 270Hz touch sampling rate, 100-percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and 580nits peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 (12nm) chipset paired with ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Tecno Spark 10 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture and dual LED flash. The specifications of the other two rear sensors are not yet known. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.45 aperture lens. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, dual 4G VoLTE, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, magnetometer, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 168.41 × 76.21 × 8.46 mm and weighs 208 grams.

Pricing and availability

The Tecno Spark 10 Pro is priced at Rs. 12,499 for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone comes in Lunar Eclipse, Pearl White, and Starry color options and will be available via retail stores in India starting March 24, 2023.
