Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G with 120Hz Infinity-O Display, Snapdragon 778G SoC, quad rear cameras launched

South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched the Galaxy A52s 5G smartphone in the UK. The phone comes with IP67 certification for water and dust resistance and features a 120Hz Infinity-O Display, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC, and a quad-rear camera setup. It runs on Android 11 OS out of the box with One UI 3.1 customization on top. Galaxy A52s 5G also includes a Frame Booster feature that adds virtual images between frames to provide smooth graphics while gaming.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G (6 nm) chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G sports a quad-rear camera setup of a 64-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture on the hole-punch display.

The phone comes with a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 25W adaptive fast charge technology. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth version 5.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ Glonass/ Galileo, 5G, 4G VoLTE, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and an in-display fingerprint reader.

Lastly, the phone measures 159.9 x 75.1 x 8.4mm and weighs 189 grams.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is priced at GBP 409 (around Rs. 41,800) for the single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It comes in Awesome White, Awesome Black, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Mint color options. The phone will be available to pre-order in the UK starting August 24, 2021, on Samsung.com, and shipping begins from September 3, 2021.
