Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G launched in India with Snapdragon 778G SoC, 64MP camera

Samsung on Wednesday has expanded its A-series smartphone lineup in India with the launch of Galaxy A52s 5G. This phone is an upgraded version of Galaxy A52 5G and was first announced in the UK last month. 

Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It sports a plastic build with a matte rear finish and is IP67-certified for dust and water resistance.

The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.

On the back, there is a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 32MP shooter on the front housed under the punch-hole notch.

It runs on OneUI 3.1 based on Android 11 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, you get support for 12 5G bands, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There are also dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Samsung promises OS updates for 3 years on this handset. 

Pricing and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G will be available to purchase online via Amazon and Samsung.com and offline via all major retail stores starting today. Its price starts at Rs. 35,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and the 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs. 37,499. It will be in 3 colour options- Awesome Black, Awesome Violet, and Awesome White. 

As an introductory launch offer, customers purchasing this handset using HDFC Bank cards and EMI transactions will get a cashback of Rs. 3,000, an upgrade bonus of Rs 3,000 will also be provided to those who are exchanging their old phones for the Galaxy A52s 5G.
