Poco X5 Pro 5G with 6.67-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 778G SoC, 5000mAh battery launched in India

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Poco has launched the Poco X5 Pro 5G smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. Further, the phone runs on the Android 12 operating system out of the box with MIUI 14 customization on top. Poco X5 Pro 5G is also IP53 rated for dust and splash resistance.

The Poco X5 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080 × 2400 pixels) AMOLED display with up to 120Hz variable refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 900 nits peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 6nm chipset paired with Adreno 642L GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage.

In terms of optics, the Poco X5 Pro 5G boasts a triple rear camera setup of a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture, an 8-megapixel 120-degree wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth version 5.2, GPS/ GLONASS, 5G SA / NSA with n1/ n3/ n5/ n8/ n28/ n40/ n78 bands, dual 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and OTG. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, IR-blaster (infrared), ambient light, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 162.91 × 76.03 × 7.9 mm and weighs 181 grams.

The Poco X5 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 22,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at Rs. 24,999. The phone comes in Yellow, Horizon Blue, and Astral Black color options and will be available via Flipkart in the country.
