Poco M6 5G with 6.74-inch 90Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC launched in India

Poco has launched the Poco M6 5G smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.74-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, and a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box with MIUI 14 customization on top.

Poco M6 5G specifications

The Poco M6 5G features a 6.74-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 600 nits of brightness, 180Hz of touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ (6nm) chipset paired with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Poco M6 5G sports a dual-rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and an unspecified AI lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 5-megapixel sensor housed in the waterdrop notch display. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, dual 4G VoLTE, 5G SA/NSA, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 168mm × 78mm × 8.09mm and weighs 195 grams.

Pricing and availability

The Poco M6 5G is priced at Rs 10,499 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs 11,499. There’s also a top variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that costs Rs 13,499. The phone comes in Galactic Black and Orion Blue and will be available via Flipkart from December 26 at 12 PM (noon) IST. Launch offers include Rs 1000 cashback on purchasing the phone using ICICI Bank credit and debit cards.
