OnePlus has launched the affordable OnePlus Nord smartphone in India. The price of the phone starts at Rs. 24,999 and comes in three variants. The OnePlus Nord features the same 48 MP flagship camera that is available in OnePlus 8.
OnePlus Nord specifications
OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with Adreno 620 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB UFS2.1 storage. The device runs Oxygen OS 10.5 based on Android 10 out of the box.
For photography, the OnePlus Nord sports a quad rear camera setup of 48 MP f/1.75 Sony IMX586 primary sensor, 8 MP f/2.25 119-degree ultrawide angle lens, 2 MP f/2.4 macro camera, and 5 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. On the front, the phone has a 32 MP f/2.45 Sony IMX616 primary sensor and an 8 MP f/2.45 105-degree ultrawide angle lens. The rear cameras support 1080p recording at 30/60fps, 4K at 30fps, and super slow-motion 1080p videos at 240fps, while the front cameras support 1080p and 4K video recording at 30/60fps.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX, aptX HD, LDAC and AAC support, 4G VoLTE, 5G, NFC, GPS/ GLONASS/ Galileo/ Beidou/ A-GPS/ NavIC, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors included are proximity, ambient light, electronic compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and in-display optical fingerprint reader. The phone comes with a non-removable 4115mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging technology.
Pricing and availability
The OnePlus Nord is priced at Rs. 24,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant cost Rs. 27,999, while the top variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs. 29,999. The 6GB RAM variant will be available only in the Gray Onyx color, while the 8GB and 12GB RAM variants will be available in Blue Marble and Gray Onyx color options.
The OnePlus Nord 8GB and 12GB RAM variants will go on sale in India starting August 4 via Amazon India and OnePlus India website. The 6GB RAM variant will be available for purchase in September. Pre-booking starts July 22 via OnePlus Experience Store and July 28 via Amazon India. Customers purchasing the device using the American Express cards will get Rs. 2,000 discount. Customers will also get Rs. 6,000 worth of benefits from Jio.
