OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 8T smartphone in India. The phone includes dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and runs OxygenOS based on Android 11 out of the box. It features a 120Hz display, USB 3.1 GEN1 Type-C port, quad rear cameras, face unlock, 65W fast charging, and more.

The OnePlus 8T features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and Display P3 support. The phone is powered by an octa-core (1 x 2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3 x 2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4 x 1.8 GHz Kryo 585) Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+) chipset paired with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of optics, the OnePlus 8T comes with a quad-rear camera setup of 48 MP (f/1.7) Sony IMX586 primary sensor with OIS, 16 MP (f/2.2) 123-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, 5 MP macro lens, and a 2 MP monochrome sensor. On the front, it has a single 16 MP (f/2.4) Sony IMX471 sensor on the hole-punch display. The rear cameras support 4K recording at 30/60fps, 1080p at 30/60/120fps, and 720p at 480fps, while the front camera support 1080p at 30fps.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX/ aptX HD/ LDAC/ AAC support, 5G, 4G LTE, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS/ Galileo/ Beidou, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include proximity, ambient light, electronic compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and an in-display optical fingerprint reader. The phone comes with a 4500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging technology. It measures 160.7 x 74.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs 188 grams.
Pricing and availability
The base variant of the OnePlus 8T with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 42,999, while the top variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs Rs. 45,999. The base variant comes in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver color options, and the top variant comes in a single Aquamarine Green color option. The phone will be available to purchase via the OnePlus website, Amazon India, and retail stores in the country starting October 17, 2020.

The company is offering a 10 percent discount on HDFC bank debit and credit card on Amazon India and no-cost EMIs on HDFC bank cards. There is also Rs. 1,000 discount on purchasing the device via retail stores with HDFC Bank debit card and Rs. 2,000 discount on purchasing via HDFC Bank credit card. Customers buying OnePlus will get benefits worth Rs. 6,000 from Jio.
