Itel has launched the Itel P55 and P55+ smartphones in India. Both smartphones feature a 6.6-inch 90Hz HD+ display, an octa-core Unisoc T606 chipset, a 5000mAh battery, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Furthermore, both smartphones run on the Android 13 operating system out of the box.
Itel P55 and P55+ specifications
The Itel P55 and P55+ smartphones feature a 6.6-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. Both models are powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 chipset paired with Mali G57 MP1 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Itel P55 and P55+ sport a dual-rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture and an unspecified secondary AI sensor. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing sensor housed in the hole-punch display. Both smartphones pack a 5000mAh battery, and the Itel P55 supports 18W fast charging while the Itel P55+ supports up to 45W fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, dual 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC (P55+ only), and a USB Type-C port. Furthermore, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Pricing and availability
The Itel P55 is priced at Rs. 7,499 (Rs. 6,999 including Rs. 500 discount) for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 8,999. The phone comes in Moonlit Black, Aurora Blue, and Brilliant Gold color options.
In contrast, the Itel P55+ costs Rs. 9,999 for the sole 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. However, with bank discounts, customers can get it for Rs. 9,499. The phone comes in Royal Green and Meteor Black color options.
Both smartphones will be available via the Amazon website in India starting February 13, 2024, at noon.
