iQoo, on Tuesday, launched the iQoo 12 smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, triple rear camera setup, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. iQoo 12 runs on the Android 14 operating system out of the box with Funtouch OS 14 customization on top. The company promises to deliver three years of Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates. Moreover, the phone includes a 6010 mm² ultra-large vapor chamber with four cooling zones for optimal cooling. iQoo12 also comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

iQoo 12 specifications

The iQoo 12 features a 6.78-inch quad-HD (2800 × 1260 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, 1200Hz of instant touch sampling rate, 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and 2160Hz pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4nm) chipset paired with Adreno 750 GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage.

In terms of optics, the iQoo 12 sports a triple rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 1/1.3-inch OmniVision OV50H sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and an a50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.0 aperture and 120-degree field of view. It also has a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.6 aperture that supports 3x optical zoom and 100x hybrid zoom. On the front, the phone has a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture, which supports 1080p video recording.

iQoo 12 packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 120W FlashCharge technology. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6/7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, infrared blaster, dual 4G VoLTE, 5G SA/NSA, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient color sensor, magnetometer, ambient light, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 163.22mm x 75.88mm x 8.1mm and weighs 203.9 grams.

Pricing and availability

The iQoo 12 is priced at Rs. 52,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant costs Rs. 57,999. The phone comes in the Legend model, which has a white-colored porcelain enamel glass material on the back, and the Alpha color model, which has an AG Glass back panel.

The phone will be available for purchase through the Amazon India website starting December 13, 2023, for the Priority pass customers, while for others, it will go on sale from December 14, 2023. Launch offers include a Rs. 3000 instant discounts for HDFC and ICICI bank cards, Rs. 3000 exchange bonus for non-Vivo or iQoo phones, and Rs. 5000 exchange bonus for Vivo or iQoo phones.
