Infinix has launched the Smart 8 HD smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.6-inch HD+ 90Hz display, Unisoc T606 SoC, 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, a 13-megapixel primary sensor, a 5000mAh battery, and a fingerprint sensor. The phone runs on the Android 13 Go Edition operating system out of the box with XOS 13 customization on top.

The Infinix Smart 8 HD features a 6.6-inch HD+ (1612 x 720 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 chipset paired with Mali G57 MP1 GPU, 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 64GB of UFS 2.2 of storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 2TB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Infinix Smart 8 HD sports a dual camera setup of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and an AI lens with a Quad-LED ring flash. For taking selfies and making video calls, it has an 8-megapixel sensor on the hole-punch display. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that is said to deliver up to 39 hours of calling time or up to 50 hours of music playback time on a single charge.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, dual 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. It also has a fingerprint sensor for biometric unlocking and supports a face unlock feature for biometric authentication. Lastly, the phone measures 163.6mm × 75.6mm × 8.5mm and weighs 184 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Infinix Smart 8 HD is priced at Rs. 6,299 for the single 3GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The phone comes in Crystal Green, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black color options and will be available for purchase via the Flipkart e-commerce website in India starting December 13, 2023. The company is also providing a 10-percent discount on Axis Bank cards for a limited period, which brings down the price to Rs. 5,669.
