Hotstar adds Live TV channels of Star Network on its Android and iOS apps

Hotstar, an online video streaming service in India, has added Live TV channels of Star network. Currently, these Live TV channels are available only on the Android and iOS Hotstar app. These channels are not available on the web version of Hotstar. Live TV channels of Star Network can be viewed by Hotstar VIP and Premium subscribers.

Hotstar is now providing Live channels of Star Network, which includes Star Plus, Star Jalsha, Star Vijay, Star Bharat, Asianet, Maa Gold, Star Pravah, Asianet Plus, Star Suvarna, Star Utsav, Star Sports 1, Star Sports 2, Star Sports 1 Hindi, Star Sports Select 1 HD, and Star Sports Select 2 HD. Hotstar VIP and Premium users can tap on the TV icon to access the Live TV channel section.

Apart from the newly added channels of Star networks, the company is already providing Live news channels on its platform. Live news channels are available on Hotstar website, Android, and iOS. Along with popular news channels such as ABP News HD, Aaj Tak, India Today, and Republic TV, Hotstar also includes few foreign news channels such as Fox News, Sky News, and Fox Business. Live news channels can be viewed by free, VIP, and premium users of Hotstar.

Disney Plus content is also arriving in India through Hotstar on March 29, 2020. Last month, Hotstar had conducted a Disney+ Awareness survey, asking its users about Disney Plus shows and whether they are interested to watch its content on Hotstar.
