For the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar has launched a new Follow On feed feature. It is a special video feed that provides a real-time feed of the live cricket match with statistics, expert opinions, and insights. Follow On feed is available to all Disney+ Hotstar subscribers and freemium users as well.

“Disney+ Hotstar has always delivered the best-in-class live sports experience in India. With Follow On, we’re raising the bar by democratizing access to premium cricket entertainment with a real-time account of the cricket action to all users – including our freemium viewers,” said a Disney+ Hotstar spokesperson.

Disney+ Hotstar users watching the Follow On feed will get insights with graphics and visuals in Hindi by well-known cricket commentators, including Sunil Vaidya, Sanjay Banerjee, Raman Bhanot, Vineet Garg, Naveen Srivastava, Reema Malhotra, Ajay Mehra, Padmajeet Sehrawat and Manoj Sharma.

Freemium users will be switched to the Follow On feed when their free live cricket watch time is over. It will allow freemium users to receive live T20 World Cup cricket updates without buying a subscription. For the unaware, Disney+ Hotstar allows freemium users to view live cricket matches for up to five minutes.

Disney+ Hotstar plans start at Rs. 899 per year and support 1080p video quality and up to 2 devices for simultaneous streaming. The premium plan costs Rs. 1,499 per year and offers 4K resolution with support for up to 4 devices simultaneously. The streaming service also comes with a mobile plan that supports streaming on one mobile device and costs Rs. 449 per year.
