Disney+ Hotstar to premiere mythological drama The Legend of Hanuman on January 29

After producing various critically acclaimed dramas and comedies, Disney+ Hotstar’s original content label, Hotstar Specials is foraying into animation with the mythological drama The Legend of Hanuman.

The 13-part series narrated by Sharad Kelkar (Tanhaji), promises to show the transformation of Hanuman from a mighty warrior to a god. The series is produced by Graphic India and created by Sharad Devarajan, Jeevan Kang, and Charuvi Singhal.

Apart from The Legend of Hanuman, Disney+ Hotstar has strengthened its animation portfolio by ordering 104 episodes of Dabangg, based on Salman Khan’s film franchise, and 234 episodes of Selfie With Bajarangi from Singapore based Cosmos-Maya. Apart from these, Disney+Hotstar in India will be home for animation content produced for Disney+ by Disney Animation, Pixar, Blue Sky, and 20th Television Animation.

The Legend of Hanuman will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar in India and on Hotstar wherever available in seven languages on January 29, 2021. Disney+ Hotstar VIP costs Rs 399 annually whereas Disney+ Hotstar Premium costs Rs 1499 annually.
