Google Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7 with Tensor G2 SoC launched in India

Google Pixel 7 Pro is priced at Rs. 84,999, while the Pixel 7 Pro costs Rs. 59,999. Both smartphones will be available for purchase via Flipkart in India starting October 13, 2022.

Google has launched the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 smartphones in India. The Google Pixel 7 Pro features a 6.7-inch QHD+ display, triple-rear cameras, and a 5000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 7 includes a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, dual rear cameras, and a 4355mAh battery. Both smartphones come with the latest Google Tensor G2 SoC, in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box. The devices will receive five years of security updates.

Google Pixel 7 Pro features a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440 x 3120 pixels) LTPO OLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, up to 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and up to 1500 nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core Google Tensor G2 4nm chipset paired with Titan M2 security coprocessor, 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB of onboard storage.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro includes a triple-rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.85 aperture and a 12-megapixel 125.8-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. It also has a 48-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/3.5 aperture and supports 5x optical zoom and 30x Super Res Zoom. For taking selfies and making video calls, it has 10.8-megapixel fixed-focus sensor on the front with an f/2.2 aperture.

The phone packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 30W wired fast charging technology. According to the company, it can deliver more than 24 hours of battery life on a single charge and up to 72-hour battery life with the Extreme Battery Saver feature. Connectivity options include tri-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE, 5G, NFC, Google Cast, and a USB Type-C 3.2 port.

Sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient light, magnetometer, barometer, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 162.9 x 76.6 x 8.9 mm and weighs 212 grams.

Google Pixel 7 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) OLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, up to 90Hz refresh rate, HDR, and up to 1400 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the phone has an octa-core Google Tensor G2 SoC with Titan M2 security coprocessor. The phone includes 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

In terms of optics, the Google Pixel 7 sports a dual rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.85 aperture and a 12-megapixel 114-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it has a 10.8-megapixel fixed-focus sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 92.8-degree ultrawide field of view. The phone packs a 4355mAh battery that supports 30W wired fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include tri-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE, 5G, NFC, Google Cast, and a USB Type-C 3.2 port. Sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient light, magnetometer, barometer, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The phone measures 155.6 x 73.2 x 8.7 mm and weighs 197 grams.

Pricing and availability

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is priced at Rs. 84,999 and comes in Hazel, Snow, and Obsidian color options. In contrast, the Google Pixel 7 costs Rs. 59,999 and comes in Lemongrass, Snow, and Obsidian color options. The phones are currently available for pre-order through Flipkart.

Both smartphones will be available for purchase via Flipkart in India starting October 13, 2022. Launch offers include Rs. 8,500 cashback on purchasing the Google Pixel 7 Pro and Rs. 6,000 cashback on the Google Pixel 7 smartphone.
