most likely yes but not all the matches, may be last 7 matches in UHD the quarters, semis and the final. D2h and tata sky has hinted they are going to start UHD from as early as jan 2015.

2016 Olympics will be the first event which will be fully UHD broadcast. Initially DTH companies will have one or two channels operated by them in UHD which will show some original but mostly upscaled content. UHD channels from broadcasters will not start before 2018 in India.

Cost of UHD tvs which i just checked starts from Rs 69,000 only for 40 inches by LG. Thats great news coz 6-8 months back it was around 2.5 lakhs for a 55 inch UHD tv by LG. By 2018 I ll buy one for sure. Currently Tvs are available from 40-65 inches in India whereas Tvs upto 110 inches are available in other rich markets. Samsung's monstrous 110 inch Tv costs - $150,000 i.e Rs 92 lakhs. The price of the Tvs reduce drastically with size

Dont lose hope on UHD broadcasts of the world cup, coz the quarter finals will start from 18th march. So I am still hopeful that tata sky and D2h will start the services by jan end.
